NFL Picks & Predictions
Free, model-driven NFL picks — published at the opening number, before the week's money moves it, and settled on a public, hash-chained ledger you can verify. Selective by design: a few games a week, not all sixteen.
NFL picks begin with the regular season in September. Claim a free seat now and they will land in your account and on the public ledger from week one — you can audit our other sports' records in the meantime.
How our NFL predictions work
We tested an NFL model across eleven seasons and roughly 105,000 configurations covering every market — spreads, moneylines and totals — graded on real historical prices rather than idealised ones. Almost nothing survived. What did was narrow, and we publish only that.
The honest headline from that work: the closing line is very hard to beat. A tuned model that knew team strength, pace, injuries and weather still projected final scores less accurately than the market's own closing number. So we do not try to out-predict the close. Every NFL pick we publish is taken at the opening number, early in the week, where the price has not yet absorbed the injury news and the weather forecast — and every one of them is an under.
Two situations cleared the bar. The first is the road-favourite under: when a road team is favoured by a field goal to a touchdown and the total sits in the mid-forties, the market prices a shootout that a clock-controlling road favourite tends not to deliver. The same rule applied to home favourites loses money — that asymmetry is the signature of a real effect rather than a curve fit. The second is the wind under: sustained wind at an outdoor stadium measurably suppresses scoring, and the opening total is set before the forecast firms up, so it drifts down through the week.
We also built and tested a full injury-availability layer. It did not help, and we are telling you that rather than claiming it as a feature: the NFL market already prices injuries efficiently. The edges above are structural, not information advantages.
Why so few NFL picks
Because a rule that fires on every game is not selecting for anything. Our main NFL edge qualifies on roughly thirty games across an entire season. We hold each strategy to a worst-season standard — it has to be profitable in the bad years too, not merely on average — which disqualifies most of what looks good in a back-test. If a week has no qualifying game, we post nothing that week, and the ledger will show the gap.
NFL picks FAQ
Are your NFL picks free?
Yes. During our free beta, members get every NFL pick with the full model numbers, no card required. The settled record is public to everyone on the ledger.
When do NFL picks post?
Early in the week, at the opening number rather than at kickoff. Our back-testing found the NFL edge lives in the opening line and is gone by the close, so posting late would mean posting nothing worth having.
Which NFL markets do you cover?
Game totals — specifically unders in two well-defined situations our testing validated across eleven seasons. We publish no spread or moneyline picks, because nothing on those markets survived our testing.
How many NFL picks will there be each week?
Only a handful — roughly thirty qualifying games across a full season for our main edge. Most games get no pick at all. A service that has a play on every game is not selecting for anything.
How do I know your NFL record is real?
Every pick is written to a public, hash-chained ledger before kickoff and settled in the open afterward — wins and losses in the same font size. Change any past result and the hash chain visibly breaks.
