How our MLB predictions work
Baseball is the most model-friendly sport there is: the sample is enormous, the game is a sequence of discrete matchups, and the inputs that matter are knowable before first pitch. Our MLB model projects each game's run environment from the announced starting pitchers, the lineups actually posted that day, bullpen availability, park factors and the weather at game time — then compares its projected total and margin against the market's number. Where the gap is wide enough to survive the price, that's a pick. Where it isn't, we post nothing, which on most slates means passing on the large majority of games.
We publish four MLB markets, each validated separately rather than assumed to work: game totals, where our lean is to the over when the model's projected run total sits meaningfully above the posted number; the run line, taken only when the projected margin is large enough to clear a decisive win; first five innings, which isolates the starting-pitcher matchup and removes bullpen noise entirely; and first-inning run, a narrow call on whether either side scores in the opening frame. Every pick shows the model's number against the market's, so you can judge the value yourself rather than take it on faith.
Why trust an MLB pick from us
Most MLB picks accounts show you the winning screenshots and quietly delete the misses. We do the opposite: every MLB pick is timestamped and hashed to a public ledger before first pitch, then settled in the open. Change any past result and the hash chain visibly breaks — the database will not even allow it. If a week goes 3–7, the ledger says 3–7. A game that gets postponed is marked void and counts as neither a win nor a loss, shown rather than hidden. That verifiable record is the only thing we are asking you to judge us on.

When are MLB picks posted?
Each MLB pick publishes about 30 minutes before first pitch, so the number is fresh, and it is timestamped to our public ledger before the market moves.
Which MLB markets do you cover?
Game totals (over/under), the run line, first-5-innings (F5), and first-inning run (YRFI). Each market publishes only when the model finds an edge over the market's number — most days that means we pass on the majority of the slate.
How does your MLB model make predictions?
