College Football

We are not posting a college number today on games that have not reached their matchup window. When these boards go live, a disciplined model weighs opponent-adjusted efficiency, pace, line-of-scrimmage margins, quarterback availability and travel or rest splits before comparing its estimate to the market price and quantifying any edge. NFL
Same calendar note applies to the 16 NFL games listed, among them Baltimore Ravens at Dallas Cowboys, Kansas City Chiefs at Miami Dolphins, Los Angeles Chargers at Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles at Chicago Bears. These are Week 3 contests scheduled Thursday onward, not for September 23. No NFL call is posted today. When we do post, the model leans on situational pass-rate tendencies, pressure and protection rates, red-zone and third-down conversion, and injury-adjusted personnel, then it measures its projection against the posted number. Second, ARI at COL: our posted call is ARI ML. Merrill Kelly faces Mason Adams, with Coors Field's run environment a live variable the model accounts for on both sides of the projection. Again, the selection and the line are what we publish.
Elsewhere on the board, STL at PIT sends Matthew Liberatore against Lake Bachar at PNC Park, first pitch 6:40 pm. CLE at BOS pits Foster Griffin against Sonny Gray at Fenway, first pitch 7:10 pm, and it carries a notable edge worth flagging: Cleveland's pitching has posted a 31% strikeout rate in close-and-late situations this season, the best in MLB, alongside a 25% overall rate that ranks 4th and a 28% late-inning rate that also leads the league. That late-game swing-and-miss profile is the kind of input a sharp model prices into win probability, though it does not by itself create a playable edge without a favorable number. WNBA
Two games close out the read: ATL at NYL and DAL at SEA. The regular season ends September 24 with all eight playoff seeds still contested. Entering play September 23, Minnesota sat 32-11 and had clinched the No. 1 seed, while Golden State and defending champion Las Vegas will finish second and third in some order, and Atlanta and Indiana are contesting the fourth seed. That last point makes the Atlanta game meaningful for positioning. One risk to weigh: four-time MVP A'ja Wilson has been dealing with back issues, a status the model would treat as an availability question rather than a settled input.
