Monday, October 12, 2026 has an unusual shape. Our slate feed lists 62 college football games, 59 FCS games and 15 NFL games. Independent research confirmed only one of them: Buffalo Bills at Los Angeles Rams on Monday Night Football, 8:15 p.m. ET at SoFi Stadium. We are treating that gap as a data problem, not a reason to guess. Where we cannot confirm that a game is being played today, we will not analyze it as if it were.
Two calls are already on the public ledger, both NBA:
- Atlanta Hawks -8.5 (Oklahoma City Thunder @ Atlanta Hawks) - Utah Jazz +3.5 (San Antonio Spurs @ Utah Jazz)
No model probability, market price or edge figure was supplied with these calls for this outlook, so we will not cite or estimate any. The selections and lines above are what we posted. They settle on the ledger like everything else, win or lose.
College Football
The feed shows 62 games and names 25 of them, including Ohio State @ Indiana, Florida @ Texas, Mississippi State @ LSU, Washington @ Purdue, Memphis @ Tulane and Kansas @ Kansas State. On paper that is a strong conference-play card.
Our research found no FBS games scheduled for Monday, October 12. Those matchups may belong to a different date, or the feed may be mislabeled. Two entries also appear on both the college and FCS lists (Charleston Southern @ Clemson and The Citadel @ Texas A&M), which suggests a cross-listing problem in the feed.
We have posted no college football calls today. We will not attach injury notes, form or a lean to games we cannot confirm are on today's card.
FCS
The FCS feed lists 59 games and names 25, including South Dakota State @ North Dakota, McNeese @ Northwestern State, Holy Cross @ Harvard, Lehigh @ Cornell and Rhode Island @ Yale. The same caveat applies. Research turned up no FCS games scheduled for today, and the overlap with the college list points to the same feed issue.
No FCS calls are posted. If any of these games are confirmed for today, we will add them to the ledger before kickoff with the time of posting recorded, as always.
NFL
The feed lists 15 NFL games. Only one is confirmed for today: Buffalo Bills (3-1) @ Los Angeles Rams (2-2), 8:15 p.m. ET, SoFi Stadium.
The story is depth. Buffalo lists 15 players on its injury report. The Rams list 12.
Buffalo's report:
- Out: WR Tyrell Shavers and WR Joshua Palmer. - Questionable: WR DJ Moore (shoulder), DE Landon Jackson (knee), CB Dee Alford (ankle) and CB Te'Cory Couch (hamstring, injured against New England on October 4). - Injured reserve: DT Zane Durant.
The receiver room is thin. If Moore cannot play, Buffalo's pass game runs through a reduced set of options. The secondary has two questionable corners, which matters against a team with Rams receivers who may or may not play.
Los Angeles's report:
- Status unknown in one report: WR Davante Adams (rest) and WR Konata Mumpfield (shoulder). - Tight ends: Tyler Higbee has carried a larger share with Terrence Ferguson and Colby Parkinson both dealing with injuries.
The Rams are at home and trying to get back above .500.
What a sharp model weighs here. In general terms:
- Availability over reputation. The model adjusts for who is confirmed active, not who is on the depth chart. A questionable tag is a range of outcomes, not a coin flip. - Matchup-level depth. For example, a short-handed receiver group facing a secondary of known quality, or two banged-up corners covering whatever receivers LA has active. - Venue. A neutral starting point, adjusted for home field. - Where the number sits against the model's estimate. A pick is only posted when that gap clears our threshold.
Four Buffalo players are questionable and two Rams receivers have unclear status. In a game like this, late inactive lists can move the model's estimate meaningfully. That is a stated source of uncertainty, not a footnote.
We have no posted NFL call on this game at the time of writing. If one is added, it will appear on the ledger with its timestamp before kickoff. A call can lose even when the reasoning is sound, and every result is recorded either way.
Summary of today: one confirmed NFL game with heavy injury uncertainty on both sides, two NBA calls on the ledger, and a college and FCS feed we could not verify for this date and therefore did not use.
