A probability of 85% still implies a loss roughly 15% of the time, so this outcome confirms the read without proving it: one game cannot separate a correct 85% from a lucky one.
The two WNBA sides carried no model percentage, so we will not manufacture one. Both were number-based reads against the posted lines of 10.5 and 4.5. Toronto did not need to win, only to stay within 10.5, and a 6-point loss cleared that margin. Chicago exceeded its 4.5 requirement outright with a 7-point win.
